Acceptable Use & Messaging Policy

Version 2026-10-23 · Effective October 23, 2026

This Acceptable Use & Messaging Policy is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to every text and call you or your Grok Bot send from a MyPhone number. MyPhone is the registered brand for A2P 10DLC and other carrier programs, so your use affects every MyPhone user.

By using the Service you agree to this policy. Version 2026-10-23, effective October 23, 2026.

Get consent and keep it

Send texts, and place calls with an artificial or AI voice, only to people who have given prior express consent (and prior express written consent for marketing), as required by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (47 U.S.C. § 227) and FCC rules. Consent must come from the recipient. It may not be bought, rented, shared, or given on someone else's behalf. Replying to someone who texted you first is allowed for that conversation only.

Keep a record of each consent (date, method, and wording) until at least the recipient opts out, and give it to MyPhone within 3 business days of our request.

An AI voice is an artificial voice under 47 U.S.C. § 227(b). You need the consent that law requires before a call like that.

Honor STOP and HELP

Identify yourself in the first message. Immediately stop texting anyone who replies STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE or OPTOUT (or otherwise asks to stop), except for one confirmation message. Respond to HELP with who you are and how to reach you. Do not disable or work around MyPhone's opt-out handling.

No spam, fraud, spoofing, or SHAFT

Do not send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, phishing, fraud, scams, impersonation, spoofed caller ID, malware links, debt-collection or lead-generation messages without consent, or content about sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, or tobacco, cannabis, or vape (SHAFT), or anything else prohibited by law or carrier rules.

Do not use misspellings, URL shorteners from public domains, or spread messages across numbers (snowshoeing) to avoid filtering. Do not send messages used for security testing or simulated phishing.

Follow carrier and calling rules

Comply with the TCPA and FCC rules, state telemarketing and mini-TCPA laws, the CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices, carrier codes of conduct and A2P 10DLC requirements, and Twilio's Acceptable Use Policy and Messaging Policy, as each is updated.

Do not make autodialed or AI-voice calls to emergency lines, hospitals, or numbers on the Do Not Call registry without the required consent, and give any recording notice the law requires.

Fines, suspension, and termination

If a carrier, Twilio, The Campaign Registry, or a regulator charges MyPhone a fine, penalty, or fee because of your messages or calls (for example, carrier non-compliance fees for spam or SHAFT content), you agree to reimburse MyPhone for the amount, and you authorize us to deduct it from your wallet or charge your saved card. We will give you the reason and the amount. That promise is also in Section 4A of the Terms.

Section 10 of the Terms is how MyPhone suspends or ends access. We may immediately suspend messaging or calling, block messages, release a number, or close an account without notice if we, Twilio, or a carrier believes you violated this policy or Section 3A of the Terms, if complaints or opt-out rates are high, or if a carrier or Twilio asks us to. We will try to tell you why when we can.

A number for your Grok Bot.
